TEENDOM AFRICA
TEENDOM AFRICA is a pioneering social enterprise in Kenya, established with the vision of empowering young people to develop into a community of informed and active citizens. We achieve this through research-informed, innovative programs designed for holistic teen development. We engage teenagers and young adults with a suite of educational resources, compelling infotainment, and tailored mentorship, all aimed at cultivating curiosity towards informed and active citizenship. Our mission is to transform their lives by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to shape a better future for themselves and their communities.
Our Origin
Our journey began as an offshoot from a high school students’ group reading the book, “Teens Guide to the Constitution of Kenya,” followed by feedback sessions. These interactions highlighted the fact that young people needed broader support around their health, career, relationships, and community involvement. This led to the establishment of TEENDOM AFRICA, a social enterprise with a vision of empowering young people to become an informed and active citizen.
How We Do It
To realize our vision, we strategically partner with local schools, leverage youth empowerment systems for structured support and opportunities, and collaborate with both governmental and non-governmental agencies to amplify our impact. We offer research-based consultancy services and policy advocacy, making our initiatives educational and transformative. Our approach includes Youth Leadership Training, Community Service Projects, Mental Health and Well-being, Technology and Digital Literacy programs, Sustainability and Environmental Education, and Parent and Community Engagement Initiatives. We also work alongside teen leaders, mentors, and community organizations to identify and celebrate young people’s success stories, inspiring others to shape their own narratives.
Our Goal
What do we want to achieve?
To develop a youth resource hub for educational materials, mentorship opportunities, and community activities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and personal development.
To expand civic literacy to young people about law, constitution, and governance for informed civic participation.
To nurture young people in essential life skills, work ethics, career readiness, and entrepreneurship for personal and professional success.
To support education needs for young people, promoting academic excellence and lifelong learning.
