About
The Young Citizens Program engages teenagers and young adults, in learning
about the law and society. It helps them maximize their potential as young citizens, and guides them on how they can be effectively involved in their communities.
Our Mission
Our mission is to nurture generations of engaged citizens. We believe knowledge is influence, and by promoting law-related and constitutional education amongst young people, we are creating a pool of active
citizens – who understand their responsibilities, are knowledgeable on how the law works and are eager to positively influence thesociety.
How We Do it
The program is especially attractive to aspiring law students, as well as young leaders both in and out of school, who are committed to improving their communities. We engage them through digital and physical forums, where we share ideas and experiences on the legal and social issues that impact them
Content
The program is organized along the chapters of the book, ‘Teens Guide to the Constitution of Kenya’ and is delivered in 20 (twenty) modules. It incorporates; audio and video presentations, games, debates and contests and also exposes participants to industry experts like lawyers, judges, educators and youth workers. Participants can opt for self-paced, online or
face-to-face learning.
